Bonjour! As a French woman who grew up in the streets of Paris and later moved to America, my heart always longs for the flavors and traditions of my homeland. Join me as we embark on a journey to discover the taste of France amidst the bustling city of Los Angeles.
There are a few great French Gourmet shops in LA, such as Monsieur Marcel and Epicurus Gourmet.

Monsieur Marcel Gourmet Market & Seafood Market: Nestled within the iconic Original Farmers Market at the intersection of Third and Fairfax, Monsieur Marcel captures the essence of a Parisian market. This charming spot houses a cornucopia of French delights, from artisanal cheeses and pâtés to gourmet chocolates, wines, and spirits. http://www.mrmarcel.com
EPICURUS GOURMET
Another notable destination is Epicurus Gourmet in North Hollywood, a charming store dedicated to gourmet products from around the world. At Epicurus Gourmet, you can explore the curated collection of French cheeses, hand-picked to showcase the diversity and excellence of France’s cheese-making traditions

THE WORLD MARKET
The World Market references many French products especially the cookies from my childhood Bonne Maman Fruit Tartlets and Saint Michel Madeleine.

REPUBLIQUE RESTAURANT
Republique: For a truly indulgent experience reminiscent of the patisseries of Paris, Republique on La Brea Avenue is an absolute must-visit. This renowned bakery and restaurant captivates with its exquisite pastries, lovingly crafted to perfection. From flaky croissants to tantalizing tarts and cakes, each creation is a testament to the mastery of French pastry techniques. Embracing the spirit of the French “art de vivre,” Republique allows me to savor the simple pleasures of life.

LADUREE
Known worldwide for their exquisite macarons, Ladurée offers a delightful selection of delicate and vibrantly colored treats that are sure to transport you to the streets of Paris. Their elegant boutique in Beverly Hills is a haven for pastry enthusiasts, where you can sample a variety of macaron flavors and indulge in other delectable pastries that showcase the artistry and finesse of French patisserie.

SWEET LILY FRENCH BAKERY
Another gem worth mentioning is Sweet Lily French Bakery, nestled in Culver City. This charming bakery captures the essence of a traditional French patisserie, serving an array of classic pastries crafted with love and attention to detail. From flaky croissants and buttery pain au chocolat to decadent tarts and eclairs.

AND MANY MORE
Costco has some of the best croissants that I have ever eaten. It also offers regularly some French gruyere and sometimes the cheese Le Petit Basque.
Additionally, you’ll find a wide selection of French products at Whole Foods, Bristol Farms and other well-stocked grocery stores.
Conclusion
While I may be miles away from my beloved Paris, the vibrant city of Los Angeles has embraced my French heritage by offering an array of establishments that bring me closer to the flavors of home. From bustling markets to hidden boutiques, each venue invites me to celebrate and preserve the culinary traditions that are dear to my heart. So, if you share my passion for all things French, immerse yourself in the enchantment of Los Angeles, where the taste of France awaits.
À bientôt et bon appétit!
